New healthcare agreement translates into global good
Global leaders in healthcare, JBI and Wolters Kluwer Health, continued collaboration aims to support more health professionals than ever before.
The University of Adelaide’s JBI, an international leader in evidence-based healthcare, has entered into a Research Translation Agreement with Wolters Kluwer, which has operations in more than 40 countries across the world. Wolters Kluwer provides trusted clinical technology and evidence-based solutions that engage clinicians, patients, researchers and students in effective decision-making and outcomes across health care.
Building on a decade-long collaboration, the agreement will support significant expansion of JBI's research operations, solidifying its role as a global leader in evidence-based healthcare. This agreement is not only an investment in research, but in the future of global health.
Funding more than 50 researchers and professional staff in Adelaide and supporting a global evidence network comprising more than 90 universities, hospitals, NGOs, and policy centres, this partnership will support the delivery of world-class research and drive the development of evidence-based resources that facilitate improvements in health and health service delivery globally.
“With a renewed focus on collaborative research and innovation, this agreement will significantly expand the reach and visibility of our research,” said JBI Executive Director Professor Zoe Jordan.
“It will enable us to leverage emerging technologies to innovate our delivery mechanisms, helping us reach an unprecedented number of healthcare professionals.”
“Our extended relationship will enhance our ability to deliver the right evidence, to the right people, at the right time, helping improve health outcomes for communities worldwide,” said Wolters Kluwer Health Research Senior Vice President and General Manager Rafael Sidi.
“We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with JBI, fostering the development of innovative, evidence-based research and resources that generate real impact across the global health ecosystem.”
JBI is an acknowledged leader in translational research in clinical care and therapeutics, including the creation of systematic reviews, evidence summaries, and the tools needed to embed these into health processes.
The widespread impact of JBI’s work is attributable to local and global partnerships that help ensure evidence-based activities and resources are context-specific and driven by individuals and groups who understand their specific health environments.
The work of JBI’s team of researchers ensures that evidence-based knowledge reaches the people who need it most. JBI fosters long-term, sustainable change in health practices by training healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based healthcare and providing the best available evidence to inform clinical decision-making.
