Biography/ Background
Chelsea is Manager of the Student Academic Skills team, in the Employability, Careers and Student Academic Skills unit, which operates under the Director of Student Experience, and exists to support and enable students to engage successfully with their coursework. Student Academic Skills is home to the staff and volunteers of the Maths Learning Centre, Writing Centre, Peer Learning Programs, including Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS), Academic Integrity Skills and the coordinator of Student Voice Australia. Before joining the team in 2017, Chelsea taught in the Humanities and Social Sciences at The University of Adelaide and Flinders University, specialising in Creative Writing and English Literature.
Chelsea completed a PhD in the English Department at Adelaide University in 2010, with a thesis consisting of a novel and exegesis exploring ekphrastic fiction. She is currently Convenor of the Student Voice Australia Operational Group, and co-faciltiator of the Student Leadership Programs Community of Practice.
