Biography/ Background
Domenic has lectured primarily in taxation law courses since joining the University. His excellence in teaching was acknowledged by the University inviting and accepting him into the inaugural members of The Adelaide University Education Academy established in 2016.
Domenic's background in taxation law extends beyond academia and includes experience in both the private and public sectors.
Prior to him joining the University, Domenic was a Tax Manager with a "Big 6" professional services firm where he was mainly involved in the tax consulting, tax audit and indirect tax areas.
He had previously worked for several years in the Australian Tax Office (ATO) where he held a number of senior positions, including the Legal Officer of the Adelaide office of the ATO, the Personal Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation in charge of the Adelaide office of the ATO, and Senior Appeals and Review Officer.
Domenic has continued professional practice on a part-time basis that allows him to bring a "real world" perspective to his teaching.

Teaching Interests
Domenic lectures in and is the course co-ordinator for the undergraduate courses "Tax, Superannuation & Estate Planning", "Business Tax & GST", "Commercial Law" and "Legal Aspects of International Business".
He also lectures in and is the course co-ordinator for the postgraduate courses "Tax, Estate & Wealth Planning M" and "Legal Aspects of Wine Business M", as well as "Business Law" in the MBA program.
He has previously been the lecturer and course co-ordinator of "Income Tax Law" at the undergraduate level and "Income Taxation M" at the postgraduate level.
Domenic has taught in Singapore where he lectured and was the course co-ordinator of "Singapore Commercial Law M" and "Australian Commercial Law" at the postgraduate level and "Singapore Business Law" for the MBA program.
He has previously lectured in "Law for Practising Managers" at the Australian Graduate School of Management of the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney, as part of their MBA Program.
Domenic has also taught "Business Law for Managers" for The University of Adelaide's Executive Education Unit and presented to a variety of clients including Woolworths Ltd and Pernod Ricard Pacific Ltd.

Research Interests
Domenic's research interests are in the areas of tax planning and anti-avoidance, taxation of trusts, and the impact of administrative review on tax law.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Revenue Law Journal.

Professional Interests
Domenic is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia and carries on a tax and legal practice on a part-time basis.
He has also acted as a consulting tax advisor to legal and accounting firms.
