  • Biography/ Background

    Siu-Wai Ho received the B.Eng., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in information engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2000, 2003, and 2006, respectively. During 2006 - 2008, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA. He joined the Institute for Telecommunications Research, University of South Australia (UniSA), Adelaide, S.A., Australia in 2009 and was a Senior Research Fellow since 2013. Since 2018, he is a Senior Research Fellow with the Teletraffic Research Centre, University of Adelaide, Adelaide, S.A., Australia.

    My current research interests include visible light communications, indoor positioning, Shannon theory, information theory, network coding, information-theoretic security, and biometric security systems.
