The following processes have been developed for University of Adelaide staff.

Admission processes
Admission from TAFE SA to the University of AdelaideÂ
- The University of Adelaide offers a variety of entry paths for people seeking to pursue tertiary studies including entering from the °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ sector.
- Details of entry requirements should be checked on Degree Finder.
- Entry may be competitive.
- Some courses also require student to have prerequisite subjects or areas of knowledge. Prerequisites should be checked on Degree Finder
- Applications for all undergraduate programs and some postgraduate programs must be made through SATAC/International Application System.

Accreditation, credit transfer, and recognition of prior learning
To facilitate the expansion of pathways, particularly through the articulation and credit transfer, follow the steps below:
1. Initial contact
Initial contact by staff interested in expanding pathways and other collaborative arrangements should be made through the °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡/University of Adelaide articulation and credit transfer coordinator:

A determination should be made as to the most appropriate process. For example course information can be exchanged as an initial step, or a meeting can be arranged to discuss course information or issues etc. Â The contact details of a key subject area expert should be supplied with any request for credit transfer consideration.
3. Qualification linkages
°Õ³ó±ðÌý is the national policy for regulated qualification in Australia education and training and supports the developent of pathways to assist people to move easitly through education.
4. Specify credit arrangements
Specified credit arrangements must be in writing and include endorsement by both parties to ensure consistency and quality control. Templates are available upon request from either the °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ coordinator or the University of Adelaide coordinator.
5. Signed agreements
Both parties should hold a copy of the signed agreement.

Curriculum development
The University has in place formal processes to identify opportunities for collaborative curriculum development when planning new or revised courses/programs. °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ also has formal processes for identifying opportunities and collaborating in curriculum development.
Staff should consult the following key contacts for curriculum development and accreditation processes:

The relevant Senior Project Officer from °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ Network Services, Training Package and Curriculum Unit should be contacted for information relating to collaborative curriculum development.
University of Adelaide
The Program Approval and Entry Committee (PAEC) is responsible for considering both the academic and resource aspects of major program development. Information regarding curriculum development processes can be found on the program approval processÌý±è²¹²µ±ð.
The initial contact should, however, be made via the relevant faculty sponsoring the submission, as local approval processes will also operate.

Marketing
Accurate and timely information should be provided to staff and students (including potential students) on course offerings and cross-sectoral pathways. Where appropriate developing cooperative or integrated strategies are encouraged to increase enrolment of international students in joint programs.

Publicity/Promotion
Overviews of credit transfer arrangements are listed on the °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ website for prospective students to consider.Various strategies to promote the pathways agreed through the credit transfer agreement should be pursued and current students should be made aware of the pathways.
DECD Policy Portal
The DECD Policy Portal provides information to all °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ staff on administrative and official policy matters. New or revised credit transfer arrangements are submitted for inclusion on the Policy Portal.University of Adelaide
Consider strategies that will best promote and advertise the arrangement. This could include printed or electronic publications, involvement with University agencies (eg. Prospective Students Office), general community awareness and communication with school liaison officers.
Marketing provides services to assist senior managers and staff throughout the University to promote their programs, activities and achievements.

Professional development
University of Adelaide
The University of Adelaide can deliver quality professional development opportunities for °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ staff.
- Â -Â including leadership development, course design, teaching methods, online education, and assessment and evaluation.
- Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) -Â business development, leadership management, supervision, communication, personal development and computer skills. PCE can also design specific programs to meet the training and development need of academic staff from TAFE SA. In addition to the public programs the unit can assist TAFE SA staff in team-building activities, facilitating planning days and conducting individual and group career planning sessions. PCE can also offer TAFE SA managerial staff individual coaching programs for leadership, management, business and career development. Personal coaching is particularly suited to individuals who are committed to their own professional development and are open to receiving feedback and support to this end.
- Adelaide Graduate Centre -Â A number of scholarships for research higher degree candidates may be available
TAFE SA
University academics may wish to explore or develop further skills in the application of the body of knowledge from their area of expertise. The program sponsoring General Manager or Educational Manager from the °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ campus offering the course should be contacted to discuss the development and/or customisation of specific opportunities to meet identified professional development requirements.

Research
The MOU encourages the University of Adelaide and °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ staff to consider undertaking collaborative research projects. There are several fields in which university staff and students do research that are also of academic interest to °Õ´¡¹ó·¡Ìý³§´¡ staff, such as:
- information technology
- engineering and the built environment
- geosciences and geographic information systems
- public health
- music
- food and wine
Collaboration between our institutions could take the form of joint research projects or the sharing of equipment, infrastructure or community networks.
